Outlast II release date confirmed

Red Barrels survival horror game incomming! Prepare accordingly

07 Mar 2017

Ok, we all knew this was coming.

Red Barrel' sequel to their survival horror game Outlast has been something fans of the genre have been eagerly awaiting for some time. And after the unfortunate delay of the game last year, it's comforting to know that the developers have settled on a date.

The release date is set for 25th April 2017 and will set you back $30USD (that's $44NZD, I converted it for ya' no worries)

There was a brief window at the end of last year where players could try the Outlast 2 demo. Showcasing the beautifully re-created hick-ass expanse of the Arizona desert (this doesn't apply to the real Arizona desert, which I'm sure is lovely) A fresh new story derived from the 1978 Jonestown massacre, and some truly unsettling set-pieces influenced from the aforementioned real-world event.

Pre-ordering will commence within the next few weeks. Additionally, you can order the Outlast Trinity version for consoles (sadly no PC announced just yet) which includes both games and the standalone DLC for Outlast - which Stroggo and I loved, and Dempsas hated.

Definitely worth a look
