Ex-Battlefield developers working on Project Wight

with a fresh gameplay trailer

07 Nov 2016

Here's one out of left field from a team of ex-Battlefield developers itching to bring a unique project onto our screens. Ever wondered what it'd be like to play as the monsters in games like The Witcher 3 and Skyrim? We often skim over the details of creatures in a game world and ignore their untold stories as we introduce their scaly faces to sweet-lady-sword. But thanks to indie developers The Outsiders, a new game is coming out to bring you just that.

Project Wight starts on a simple story - set in medieval times the world is shared with both humans and a dying race of four-legged creatures fighting against their extinction. Similar to games like Alien vs Predator you play as the creature and advance through its life cycle as the gameplay changes from a youngling stealth game to a mature monster hack n slash with free roam elements.

There's not much to go on at the moment, but there's an impressive pedigree behind this project and it'll be exciting to see where it ends up.

I like to walk on all fours too sometimes, this game looks easy.

We're always keeping our eyes out for ambitious Indie projects like this, follow Awkward Machine to stay in the loop.
